Romania and Serbia & Montenegro each offer up to a 30% cash rebate on qualifying local spend, and Hungary reaches up to 37.5% via its foreign-spend uplift, all paid directly to the production. Combined with a crew cost base 30–60% below the UK and Germany, a feature that costs €2M in Western Europe typically reaches the same on-screen value in Eastern Europe for under €1M net of rebate. Serbia & Montenegro is the only one of the three whose rebate also covers commercials.
The saving never shows up as a saving. It shows up on screen: the extra shoot days, the crane, the cast, the second location, the grade that got signed off instead of cut. Shot in London or Berlin, the same script buys half of that — and nobody watching the finished film knows what the budget gave up.
The rebate is what puts a production on the plane the first time. It is not what brings it back. The second shoot is easier than the first: the same crew, who already know the brand's guidelines; locations we have permitted before; one producer holding the whole history. That is why most of our collaborations turn into long-term relationships, why over 250 productions have come through these three offices, and why clients from our first years are still shooting with us today.

We file it, you get paid
Cultural test, registration and subsidy filing handled in-house in each territory, and the rebate paid in cash directly to the production. Get the paperwork wrong abroad and the incentive is the first thing you lose.
